The oldest Muslim village and community
in Lombok, Bayan Beler, is located by the
Gunnung Lingani, Volcano Mt. Lingani of 3726m.
The Sasak remains a traditional way of living. Celebrating a ceremony of every 40 years, they go down the river to wash cottons that will be hand-woven for making a special cloth as the offering to the old king’s grave at the Lombok’s oldest mosque, Masjid Kuno Bayan Beleq.
